Alma Clean Power is withdrawing from the ShipFC project due to a lack of necessary capital.

ShipFC is an ambitious technology development project. While the goal of installing a 2MW ammonia-powered fuel cell is groundbreaking, the journey has been longer than desired due to immature value chains and high costs for SOFCs at this scale. 

The consortium is now evaluating alternative technologies that can meet the project’s requirements of zero emissions, ammonia compatibility, and 2MW capacity, with the aim of continuing the project.
